Anyone using one of these. I like the idea so going to give it a try. Not going to use the NOCO Genius charger. already have battery tenders with the SAE Connection. So going to make an adapter cable.

Plug s l1600 Plug 2 ended s l1600 Plug one ended s l1600

I use the same plug as Ohanacreek.
I have mine mounted on the exterior right above the hood. I throw the entire charger on the hood and plug it in. Helps me to remember to remove it before driving off.

I like the idea but my stock 3 year old battery doesn't go dead. It sits up to a month or so sometimes. Do you guys have some draws on your systems or do they just sit much longer?

At the end of deer season mine may set all winter if it's cold and no snow. I only use it in the winter to plow with. so no snow it sets. I'm sure I have draw on it with my stereo, winch and second battery. I would assume bone stock would have some draw just because of all the elec. they have now a days.

Mines in the dash so I loop the charger through the drivers door and i remember to unplug it before I drive off. Also lets me plug in other stuff if I want. I have one of those 150watt defrosters aimed on my windshield that is not permanently mounted that I put a 2Way SAE plug on.

Good idea. I think I'm going to do the same thing. Then I can plug in my sprayer and other such items!

Yup, I put an SAE plug on the dash for the battery tender, too; mine is wired directly to the primary battery. When I plow snow in the winter (based on experience with my Foreman 500), I drain the battery hard with all the winch operation, but don't run the motor long enough or high enough RPM's to replenish voltage. Battery tenders are worth their salt for keeping your battery alive and well. But I also added an aux battery with isolator, per what I've read about low-voltage shifting problems in the 1000-5. Once the primary battery is fully charged, the isolated allows overflow to the aux battery, keeping both healthy.

I love my battery tender for all the same reasons. This was a very simple plug and play set up for less than $70. She is fully charged every morning no matter how cold it is.
