Mounted a battery tray with hold downs to keep it secure! Running cables tomorrow to fuse panel and isolator!

Mounting the charging port between the seat bottom and seat back for easy access with the extension cord!

All my switches are on the dash. Want to put it between the seats so I don’t have to reach down into it or open the door to plug it in.

I have my NOCO charging port on the dash, they make one that goes into an empty switch blank. That way no extra holes need to be cut.

Hey @Jdiehl7 just dug up you old thread to see how this setup worked out for you. I'm considering going with a deep cycle under the seat for a lot more lighting power.

I had read here that the stator on a Pioneer might be hard on a deep cycle battery (?)

Also wondering why you went with the charging port, do you find that the stator isn't enough to keep the deep cycle up? You plug it in overnight when you get home?

Also looking at whether to bring both battery cables up under the hood, or just grounding the black at the chassis.

As long as the two dissimilar batteries (in brand, size, age, etc.) are not directly connected in parallel (use an isolator such as the True), then the on board charging system should not be an issue. Be aware that under seat temperatures may have a negative impact on battery life.

An external charging plug is convenient. Mines on the front grill, using Powerlet plugs:

When charging two dissimilar batteries, primary is Yuasa {since new] secondary is charged through the "True" isolator does the secondary battery [Odessey PC 925 X-treme] ever get fully charged using just one BatteryTender charger hooked up to the primary Yuasa battery which is the starting battery? The Yuasa battery is strong but the Odessey is not doing its job cycling the snowplow up and down anymore. Time to replace the Odessey or go with a separate AGM trickle charger? Both batteries are from 2018 same year as P-1000-5 Camo. Purchased new.

Disconnect the true isolator, apply charger to Odessey by itself.
Let it charge over night before getting battery load tested.
Inspect your positive and negative cables from battery to iso to battery etc.
I have been burnt in the past using CCA (copper coated aluminum) battery cables. These last about a season before they rot away and lose connection.
If buying cable on Amazon or online. Make sure it states OFC (oxygen free copper) in the listing and on the cable. These will last so much longer on your machine.

In their installation instructions, True suggests connecting an external charger to the Aux battery. Once the Aux battery reaches approx. 13.3 volts, the True will start charging the main battery also. It'll work with the external charger hooked to either battery, but their logic is the Aux battery is typically going to be the one that's more deeply discharged.
