P1000 Beefing up brake caliper and rotor

Are there after market applications or others that will fit? On my most recent ride, 75 degrees, little mud. It just seems OEM doesn't have the guts to stop this heavy beast.

I'm not aware of any, but it would be nice. I rarely use my brakes, and depend mostly on down shifting to control speed... still having to replace all 4 pads at 1400 miles (~200hrs). I want a beefed up set that lasts longer.

I got about the same as Pete. Pretty happy with how long they lasted considering how much mud passed through them. Be nice to find some dual piston ones for the rear.

I'm betting once there are enough of these things in production aftermarket options will start showing up.

A smaller bore master cylinder would be nice. You would have more pedal travel but more psi to the calipers with less push force on the pedal.

Or put a booster on it and be done with it. Personally I've never had a complaint with brakes. Even with one blocked off it still stopped fine.

I also find the brakes to be good. Power assist would be a cool option but I've always had good stopping power.

You use brakes, you got to keep the MO up on these rigs. HA!

I've yet to use the brakes riding on the street. Just downshift with the paddles. I do push the pedal though so my brake lights come on.
