Nice fab work and welds. I wonder why so low?
My rig gets used for work around the farm and wanted to retain full dump bed functionality.

Good job on the bumper, I much prefer to work with metal vs wood ..........Wow, looks great. You fabbed that yourself? I’m a YouTube certified welder and made my rear bumper. Designed to still be able to use tilt bed function. I’ll see if I can dig up a pic when it’s new.
I’m a duck hunter and think a quack rack style project is in my future. About $2000 retail and I priced materials at $200 so can’t beat that.

Yes - anything is possible - especially with time and lots of money.I am also looking for a brake upgrade. I have highlifter arms and I am running Maxxis Rampage Fury 32x10-15 take offs from a rzr. My machine has a little over 5,000 miles and I just replaced the brake pads. Would it be possible to find a rotor and caliper off a machine with larger brakes and install on the pioneer with a bracket to make the caliper work since I am running 15" rims and have quite a bit of room?
I have adapted 2017 Polaris RZR XP turbo front brake calipers to my pioneer 1000. I had to install them on opposite sides to get the bleeder on the top of the caliper. The RZR rotor is the same thickness as the Honda but it is an inch or so bigger in diameter. I am by no means an expert fabricator. I am sure that some of you could have made this look better and would have done it differently. It’s not perfect but they are installed and working. I currently run 32” tires and needed some more stopping power. I will see how this works this summer. The Honda caliper has 2 pistons that each measure 1 1/4 across. The RZR has 3 pistons, 1 1/4, 1 1/8, and 1. The pad has quite a bit more surface area also. Feel free to to ask questions. I don’t have enough miles on yet to give an honest opinion on if it stops any better. Hopefully this gives someone ideas and they can take this up a notch or two with brackets or install ideas.

Stupid stealership!I had a new head put on my P1 a year ago and been sick health wise for a couple years. So when I picked it up, I put in in the shop and it pretty much stayed there. But when I picked it up the exhaust was louder than normal, gasket right? Nope! Instead of taking it back thought I'd just install new gaskets myself. None of the fasteners that held the header to the muffler or the heat shields had ever been removed. How do you install a new head without removing the header?View attachment 460744

Mine broke in the same spot. Had a guy weld it from the inside and it has held up great so farI had a new head put on my P1 a year ago and been sick health wise for a couple years. Brakes done, old news, onto dealer charging for parts never replaced.....🤔 wasn't this a "Brake upgrade" thread?....🤦♂️😂😂😂

Wow. Good catch, I didn’t notice they were installed on the wrong sides. I’m going to guess that they will work fine albeit with potential odd pad wear. But with the DCT compression braking any brakes should last much longer than a cvt that essentially freewheels and NEEDS brakes.Differing diameter pistons would create different clamping forces across the pad. I don’t know the engineering behind why that would be desired, but wanted to mention it. Since you’ve installed them on opposite sides, what was the leading edge on the RZR is now the trailing end on your Pioneer. You’ve swapped ends for the clamping forces aspect. Keep an eye on things please since this safety related.

I've got a new head, I saw the old one when I picked up my S x S. Valve guides gone. What I think happened with muffler and header mounted with rubber hangers they pried things apart and together, heat shield on the muffler was bent up pretty bad from being pried on. Thought about having it welded like @WagginTail but that never works for me. HA! New header on the way, wasn't as bad as I feared, $ 261.00 from Ron Ayers. I've got new seat, a-arm bushings, FR Fender splash guards and a new header coming. Sure hope I can remember how all this came apart! HA!What was wrong with old head?
It was louder when you picked it up, what did you find was wrong when u tore it apart?
Do the head and cylinder castings look the same color or is one shinier?
