Depends on what your doing, trail side a buddy with a winch, just connect to the rops and pull the opposite side off the ground. In the shop your manual will tell you the lifting points.I have a 1000-5. What are the best jack and stand points for the front and rear?
I meant what is the best jack point and best jack stand point. I saw how my post could be confusing. It's updated.I think it a good question, other than what is the best jack. That's a blackhole for preference and opinion.
The location to put a jack or jackstands also made me think twice.
I set my rig on jack stands on the main center frame corners if that makes sense. And try to jack in the center of the main frame.
Good luck.
I have a different illustration on page 146. Your post is extremely helpful!!View attachment 376767From my 2022 P1000/5 Manual:
What the heck, is that plane hanging from the ceiling ????If at home, an easy way is to use an overhead hoist to lift the front or rear. Installed doubler on the ceiling beams when building the RV garage/shop, but doable after construction too. I have a similar arrangement at the airplane hangar so I can load and off-load trailers when moving heavy things.

Very cool, thanks for the pics .......and explanation on the hanging plane ....Well, yes, doesn't everybody? Before I sold my glider (see pic below) I had it hanging from the rafters in my hangar also. To get the glider out conveniently, I needed to raise the Husky, so installed a 1 ton chain hoist. Then I designed a push/pull hydraulic transporter to get the glider out to the runway. The second Husky was being delivered by the dealer, a friend so we stored it in my hangar overnight in the only spot available.
A self-launch, Wankel engine ASH26E over Douglas County NV (I live under the cloud ahead of the left wing tip). Flying in mountain wave.

The short wheel-to-wheel 'feels' like it can rock off the stands. I know what you mean. I already have stands for my autos and I'm going to look into what HF has. If its not too much $, I may wind up getting a pairThe challenge I've had is with the full skids, it's hard to find a point that feels solid, then with jack stands, it feels precarious and slippery. Harbor Freight has some stands with a flat rubber top I may get.
I'm looking to that now! Thanks for the heads up.Harbor Freight sells a motorcycle jack that has perfect spacing for lifting under either the front frame rails or the rear. It also has a safety device that won’t allow it to drop if hydraulic pressure is lost.
You’re welcome. The jack is mostly aluminum and comes with extensions that give another 3” or so of lift.I'm looking to that now! Thanks for the heads up.
