P1000 Best Mod for the $$$

There are a bunch of talented guys here and I have borrowed some very good ideas for modifications to my P1K-5. Well after completing the bilge fan install and putting on almost 200 miles over this weekend, my wife and I think the comfort difference during the ride is without a doubt, the best mod for the money.

What modification do you think is the best for the money?

I would say skid plates for me. Ask me again in the summer and I may say bilge fan.

Different strokes for different folks. Depends on time of the year and area riding in. The dual fans solved the heat issue for me though.

All good answers, some benefits are more easy to measure than others. I mean, how do you measure the value of a skid plate if without it you could have damaged your machine or someone in the machine???

For the money I'd say chopped roof because that was basically free but I sure like the snorkel for the money Sure feel safer now that's an expensive mistake to not have

For me it was the dual battery setup! It set the foundation for everything else including winch and bilge fans!

That's not a very good mod at all! Shotgun is great for you though as you could hand over beers without drinking them all

In terms of cheap mods that I bought, I think the in door cup holders are a good buy for $15. I also really like the 2017 under dash storage for $115

For mods that are more DIY, I really like my full belly skid plate and the price was pretty good too.

Mods that will keep the wife and kids happy, definitely the roof and half windshield.

Future mods that I'm looking forward to would have to be a rear rack with a tire carrier and fuel storage.

Best bang for the buck?
I vote bilge fan - but if cash is tight these are good too.

$5 paint for shift selector
$20 underhood snorkle
$30 bed mat (for a P5)
Priceless - hitch-s***ter
