Read most of that thread last night and I knew that the TM kinda killed it... But he did mention that he still might try it just because it's him... LOL. Haven't seen anything since.
The other thing was using the 500 ring and pinion in the rear, is that the 700 has a speed sensor on the rear diff, while the 500 takes this from the output shaft in the tranny. So I wonder if the tone wheel for the 700 speed sensor is built into the ring and pinion, or is it on the carrier itself?
And then, how does it shift? I mean, does the computer see the reduced speed flip out and go into limp mode?
