I’ve developed a binding noise somewhere in the steering of my Pioneer. It only occurs near full lock. Sort of a popping sound as if something is in a bind. It sounds like it’s coming from the same area regardless of which way the tires are turned, where the steering linkage enters the power steering unit (?) rack and pinion(?) not sure what part I’m looking at. It’s been happening for a while but I rarely heard it and couldn’t isolate it until recently.
I’ve searched the forum but haven’t found a similar issue. Its a 2018 1000-3 w 1500 miles. I’ve got less than 100 miles on a set of 235/75/15s but I heard the noise on occasion prior to the swap. I’m still under warranty.
Any insight or suggestions are appreciated. I’ll be trying to link a couple of short videos from the driver and passenger sides. Thanks.

If you still have factory tires swapping back and take it to the dealer it's under warranty of course my dealer doesn't care what tires I have in mine .

I don’t know what my dealer’s policy is, but I still have the stock tires. Now, what I did with the lug nuts.....

When I took it to the dealer, the shop manager drove it and heard the noise right off the trailer. Six weeks later, after I reminded them they still had it, they couldn’t replicate the noise. I sent the videos, still no joy. Without the noise when turning the tires, they didn’t know what to look at. In their defense, which is a hard stance for me, I couldn’t duplicate it either after getting it home.
About two months ago I was making some adjustments to the alignment and heard the same or similar noise a couple of times after the alignment but nothing since. It made me wonder if there was a connection but I don’t know. As a friend of mine used to say, “ It remains a mysterious mystery.”

Weird, I just noticed that same exact noise happening with mine. I thought of greasing under the boots and see if it helps any. I'd hate to have take bring it in to dealer.

Thanks for the update 👍
