It was awesome, they have caves under the brewery that they used to use for storage, aging and filling barrels. Really cool place. And the beer tasting topped it off!

Just found out I'll have tomorrow off as well. Time to hit up Washington DC and see what I can find to do there. I miss my SxS, but will find stuff to pass the time.

Don't know, probably smithsonian, check all the touristy stuff. I still get paid my 8 hrs so I'll take advantage of the situation!

In November they sent me to London for a week. Only worked 2 days and played the rest.

Jusg my 2cents ,
The war veterans of the Pacific and Other war veteran memorials are very sombering and well worth the time. Also Air&Space is a 2 or 3 hr visit.

As a veteran myself, I will definitely be paying those a visit. I've always wanted to pay my respects at a few of them.

My 90 year old father and my oldest daughter just participated in an Honor Flight from here in San Antonio. I was so proud to have a father and many of my kids and there spouses that currently or have served in the military.

If you like to walk...
Take a Uber ride to the Lincoln Memorial and walk from there to the Washington Monument. From there, you're 1/2 mile from Whitehouse.

Air and Space + Lincoln ~ Whitehouse. That's the day right there!

Well I actually had to work a few hours this morning and didn't get to do the D.C. Trip. It's all good though. We drove to Atlantic City for lunch. That place has turned into a s***hole! Lots of closed hotels and casinos. I lost my allotted $20 at Harrahs and went on my merry way.

Found a hat at the exchange on base for my old command, had to snatch it up!
