I have a dilemma. I am looking at another pioneer. I have a 700 deluxe, which we love for ranch work. We have put over 6000 miles in the first year. I am trying to decide whether to get another 700 or pay the extra money to get a 1000 eps. Any thoughts?

if you love the 700 and you have the money. Your going to be infatuated with a 1000

It all depends on your planned usage.
It is very well known that the 1000 is not ideal for creeping at slow speeds.
Will this be a replacement for your 700 or in addition to?
Is there a need for a second machine or pure want?
Get on FB Marketplace and see what used 1000's go for in your area. Might get a used one for roughly the same price as your 700 deluxe.

Had both and like a broken record from the above responses I’d go 700 for ranch work. The 1000 is a great machine but I feel the 700 is more to that task.

I really like the 700, but wish it had more room and speed. We always end up fighting who gets to use the pioneer vs the ranchers, which we also have really good luck with. It is about 6 miles to the far end of the ranch and we are putting on about 15-30 miles a day.

Hi. I posted in another thread you have. If you are fighting over the 700 vs the ranchers you ain't seen nothing yet if you get the 1000. It'll be a knock down drag out who gets the 1000. ;)

I would have said that UNTIL the clutch update, makes it a DIFFERENT machine and way more suited to ranch work and trail riding. Its a LOT easier to use around the homestead than it was before, and I don't worry about the clutch anymore.

I cleared 300+ trees with my 700 with the clutch update I would not be afraid to pull a tree with it. I wouldn't let the thing slip but I didn't tender foot the 700 either.

Buy a 700 for work or hard play. Period
