P500 capsule gathering of 3 green wires...?

Was cleaning air filter /box...
noticed 2 wire protected elec taped
together...elec tape..flappin...
went to wrap more tape...around
Then...seen a speck of green..
....this is wat I found....traced back..
...to here..on frame..next to battery box
...had no idea..they were there....

I found the same plug by the airbox yesterday, doing the same as you. The ground point I found the week or so before, when I finally wired in my winch. I terminated the winch there vs on the battery.

I noticed those capsules too. I have no idea what they are. I looked for it on the wiring diagram too but didn't see it.

I traced um back to..those 3 green
grnd wires..you got them..as well

if I would of known..
would of saved me alot of wire & time.

Seen those on my 17.somewhat of a novice to wiring (managed to do the winch with all the great info here).can I tap into one of those when I go to do lights and stereo?

It's grnd wires for...extras..
it's in that capsule to protect
...phone company..uses similar
...concept...to prevent corosion

I always make a new ground when wiring accessories. The frame is a ground and you can use that. I cleaned the paint off a spot of the frame and bolted on a buss bar. I run all of my grounds to that bar.

Yes..did the same..
except for stereo & amp...
they are grounded..to frame

Its just a junction point for wire combination.
I think there is 3 or more on the 500's.
2 are straight up grounds. Green wires.
The other I think is positive. Black with red stripe. Forgot where it was.

Besides the green plug by the air cleaner housing, I see another plug that has a brown w/white stripe wire going to it. It is about 3" away from the green, closer to the housing. I'm looking at the wiring diagram, but haven't figured it out yet.

I see a Br/W coming from the PCM and three going to the upshift selector, another going to the TP sensor, and the shift spindle angle sensor... aka don't play with it.
