I just got this hammock. Haven't slept in it yet but it feels pretty good. It has an air mattress inside and u lay the opposite direction so its easier to side sleep.

Plus it will fold into a beverage drinking chair!

Never heard of the Amok until now. The more vids I see about it, the more I like it. Is yours the standard or XL? Any tags on it to specify WHERE it is made?

Made in Vietnam, standard length. I would recommend the XL if your over 6' tall. I would get the air mattress from them also. Got to have the mattress for it to work.

Right at 6', but HATE be in anything tight or binding, so would go XL. Didnt figure it was made in Norway, but Nam is better than China ..... lol

Does it have a bug net? How do you run a tarp over it?

I am trying to narrow down what time I need to arrive at Coalmont and when to leave La. It seems opinions vary from taking off on the ride between 9A and noon. Is there a more realistic narrowed down time frame?

We originally said meet at the fire department in Coalmont at 10:00 a.m. and we'd leave shortly after that. The rest could meet us at landmark like a big waterfall later in the day at 2pm (we need to figure out where that exactly is). I'm not stuck on that time...but that's about what I was thinking.

How many folks are driving in Friday morning- ish?

10:00 Eastern or central time? Just a little clarification as many of us coming from the west are on central time and lose an hour.

OK, sounds good to me. Yeah, took for granted it was Central Time, but glad that has been made clear. I probably will pull in by day light or earlier and doze off in the truck for a few hours. Hopefully the rain is not so much as to make creek crossing a problem.

We will either ride back out at 2 o’clock or you can meet us at the waterfall at 2 o’clock or three. What do you think? Do you have a radio for communications?

I have the handheld radio. I do not know any trails so getting to the water fall may be challenging
