First time having mine in the mountains and got up to 12,600ft. Is it common to hit 3 bars on the temp gauge? When going up a constant grade up mountains I would have 3 bars showing, I’d run it awhile like this then stop and let it cool, had the fan running using the override all the time. Never hit 4 bars.

Is this not an issue unless the full 4 bars are showing and do most just keep going when at 3 bars or do you cool off the machine. It would only take a few mins to drop back to 2 bars. Trying to get a good baseline of normal operating temps others see when running hard.

Id say your machine is doing very well.
3 bars is ok.. 4 bars and she needs to cool down.
But, you dont want to let it boil over.
So thats a fine line you have to walk.
Id say, keep doing what you are doing.
As long as your making decent progress up the hill.

I could go up a constant grade for about 30 mins before it would get to 3 bars and this wasn’t always going slow, from 10mph-15mph but also happened going slow in 1st for long stretches.

X2 on you're ok. I ride from home and climb about 4200 ft every ride and I run at 3 bars with fan running. Once I level out I notice fan cycles off. I have never seen 4 bars and don't want to.
