I have a new P 1000-5 due to arrive in October. My wife wants me to add heat and a/c. Has anyone does this? What is the cost? I know that it will require a lot of work, but is this something I can do myself?
Generator and window unit on the back should handle A/C just fine. Thanks for the info.
Ha, somewhere, somehow, someone has a Pioneer running down the trail with a homemade clear plastic soft cab and a window unit bolted into a piece of plywood across the back of their cage.Generator and window unit on the back should handle A/C just fine.

Or a camper roof top A/C with generator in bed.Ha, somewhere, somehow, someone has a Pioneer running down the trail with a homemade clear plastic soft cab and a window unit bolted into a piece of plywood across the back of their cage.
I have to agree especially with a window and soft side doors, now i only had it out in the low 20’s so maybe below 0 it would be nice.My 2017 1000-5 LE makes enough heat in the cab that I can't imagine needing a heater. As for A/C, the flip up windshield works well.

I did the inferno cab heater as well. Your from the same place as I am. If you want to come over and look at it let me know. As cold as it gets here you will need to install insulation to plug up gaps if your going to ride in the dead of winter..I have a new P 1000-5 due to arrive in October. Seriously 30k? Or just get one of these for 10k more 😊🤪Or $31k if you need seats for more than 3.

Just as well get a Jeep or Bronco at that point.
For a horn? Thanks for all of the reply's. I think we will scratch the a/c idea. I can get a heater, with window defrosters, for just under $400.00. I will need a horn to make it street legal. Any suggestions?
Another HVAC tech here, I agree 100% with my brothers statement….. buy the jeep.Im a HVAC tech, and every time i see this question about a/c…oh the power and space it would take to be effective and i can only imagine how Fuced up and clogged the evap will get on trail
🤣 😂🥳
The best quality answer for this and its harsh….buy a jeep while you still can!
