Seems too me this fix is a lot more simple than everybody makes it out too be. Friend of mine fixed his, and it'll be the first thing I address when mine gets dropped off this week. He went too local AutoZone, purchased 2 aftermarket shifter boots, around $10-$15 a piece, backed out the 2 hex bolts in the dash near the shifter levers, pulled dash up slightly, fed shifter boot down over shifter, eased it in under panel, poked hole too feed hex bolt back thru, did same with 4x4 lever, bolted dash back down. No dust, no heat, no cold air in the winter. Fixed it.

No part numbers Waylon, he just picked up 2 aftermarket shifter boots. Black with red stitching . I'll post some pics when I do mine

I finally rode with the cover installed and I’m a believer! It worked perfectly and I had no air blowing in!
In fact it worked to good, I was overheating and never felt the heat. I barely saw the red light come on.
