You are correct. Mainly used my last 28 year old fourtrax for hunting. When new it was always quiet and stealthy, but when original muffler burned out, only replacement I could find was a " cobra" muffler. Felt very conspicuous after running down my productive old game trails, much noisier. Used to be would,t even shoot easy grouse because it might possibly spook big game. Am glad my new p1000 deluxe is quiet at trying to sneak thru woods :)
LOL - one of the things that brought me to Honda was the quieter ride.
But if you like everything else except the quiet.... each to their own.
I totally agree. Even my dirtbike that's built to the hilt has the quietest can possible that would yield the power I wanted. I could possibly see him doing hey manual or electric exhaust cutout so you could flip the switch to go back into stealth mode but it sure nice or being quiet then it would be being loud all the time

My 900RR had the sweetest sounding pipe ever IMO. It was a Vance&Hines SS2R. Wish I could find a junk one to see how it sounds on a 1000. It had a mild tone til you hit around 7K then it'd scream. But still wasn't obnoxiously loud. Stock can is gonna be hard to beat though.

for a clarification... a high flowing aftermarket exhaust does really no good without installing a programmer. once you add the exhuast you can adjust for more fuel as it can now flow better. otherwise its just louder.

Hi, what can i do to my stock pipe on my 2016 honda pioneer 1000 to make the pipe sound louder without killing its performance or asking for more fuel?
