Good post Solrus! Look like nice products. Personally I prefer UHMW for a skid plate as I find aluminum grips rocks whereas UHMW slides over stuff, but that's just me.... Good pricing on the CV/axle protection!

I posted general link, where John can find both rear and front CV boot guards, I was not referring to skid plate.

I went with Hybrid model, UHMW skid DIY version and aluminum CV boot guards from this company.

The only bad thing about cv guards is they don't really protect the boots,If you look at where the boots are they're open.The ones I bought are the same way.

Agree , I have changed my rear outer boot this past winter and this weekend going to do my front inner boot.

I figure A arm guards will knock down 75% of the crap I roll through.
$200 up front is good insurance.


At least protection from big branches/sticks . My first boot rapture was 2/2 ice building up and then it somehow locked it and it just twisted , the second was from small puncture, but no major tear from branches where I should improvise in the field and use lets say trash bag to make a temporary boot .
