Did the MT function on the new Deluxe model alter the units transmission in any way other than giving an MT function? There is no new clutch design, etc., correct?

I'm not a 100% but I don't think the transmission changed in anyway. I wish it did though.

Also, does the 700 have a lock up clutch on the torque converter, or did they leave this component off?

I'm not sure about that but I would not think it has a lock up converter. Maybe someone that has the real answer will let us know soon.

I believe the only changes involved were to the ecm/harness to accommodate the extra switches and the up/down shift function. The P700 is realluy just what honda started with back in 2003 on the TRX680 Rincon, full auto and electric shift modes. They just had to add the small engine cut out to be able to shift without lifting the off the throttle. The basic engine design hasn't changed, I also don't think the converter has a lockup function either. It serves the same function as a centrifugal clutch in this engine type.
