I have a 2019 pioneer 1000-5 LE and I am looking to put a snow plow system on it. I am trying to decide between the Denali or Warn systems. I really like the fact that I could put the hydro turn on the Denali in the future. I also like how the Warn doesn't reduce the ground clearance at all and you can leave the plow mounting bracket on all year. I am wondering about the pro's and cons to each system and especially wondering if you can leave the denali mounting bracket o,n and if you do how much ground clearance do you lose if any? I am also wondering what would be the best winch mounting bracket to go with these systems and and Axon 4500-s winch. Any knowledge or help would be greatly appreciated.

I myself went with a Western Impact plow system. I can take off the plow bracket and have no ground clearance issues with a 300 lb. plow system. My setup is not what you are looking at in either model you have there, but maybe you can take off the mount bracket to regain your clearance like I did. I also raise my shock height to near the top to keep ground clearance up there as well. Rides a little stiff but it's not a Cadillac, so no biggy for me. You could also get larger wheels, and tires for the ground clearance. I run 14" 28" wheels, and tires

I have the Denali with hydroturn.

I bought it from the club store.

The bracket is super easy to remove. The ease of removing the plow is awesome.

You maybe lose 3/4 of clearance...but you’ll never notice it with the plow on.

I have just a basic HF winch and winch rope from Amazon.

Better pull the trigger quickly!

Thank you guys for your help and replies. Vikes79, when you say, " you maybe lose 3/4 of clearance," do you mean 3/4 of an inch? or 3/4 of the total clearance?

Really?

I normally wouldn’t say anything but isn’t that kinda a cheap shot against the site store in which this forum is part of?

Other brands that’s fine, but to post something that the site store sells plus a code is a bit disrespectful IMO.

I can't speak exactly for the warn plow system, but I have the honda oem system that is made by warn. I will say it was a big pain trying to install the mounting plate on the bike. The underneath holes were a little off and there are 2 longer bolts that go through the bumper and my winch bracket. I had a heck of a time with them and ended up stripping the threads out trying to install them. I ordered a packet of ARP fasteners and ruined 2 of them before I got it installed with the last 2. I'm dreading having to remove it for any reason. I went this way because I had the honda setup from my 700 and like that the mounting tabs were mounted up higher then the Denaili setup. I friend of mine has the Denali setup and really likes it. EASY to install the mounting bracket and easy to hook up to the plow. He's really thinking about the hydroturn for it. Just my 2 cents.

Guess I wasn't doing it to be a dick, but I also wasn't aware that @Hondasxs offered a discount code. But saving over $250 between a winch and a plow and dual battery setup is a lot easier to explain to the wife. Lol.

I have a 66” Denali Pro on my P500 and it works excellent. I keep the mounting plate on year round and it is not in the way (not sure if that is true on the P1K). Purchased mine from the Honda SxS Store 👍🏼

I have the Denali pro plow system withe hydro turn also and I think it is going to be great as it’s new this season , but install and removal is a piece of cake and I don’t think ground clearance will be an issue at all for the average trail machine.Sorry no pics of plow but here’s a pic of my switch setup

How is the weight of the denali plow? I ordered the 72". Anyone know what the weight of the plow is? Guess ultimately the question is how do the 1000-5's handle the weight? I have a LE model.

i have a 72" click n go with the extended push frame and my 1k handles it without issue straight or angled. my nose drops maybe 1-2 inches when it's elevated.it's just enough to tell when it's planted on the ground when i let the cable out, which actually helps alot.it's boxed frame and steel blade so the weight should be similar to the Denali.

The P1k5 handles the weight just fine. It’s been my experience that you’ll run out of traction well before power.

I pulled mine off...works fine in the winter, but the ears will hook on rocks and ruts.

In the spring I nearly ripped off one of the ears on a frozen tractor mud rut when I was chasing cows across a muddy field.

with my Trail Armor skid plate, I’ll need to modify the mount and or the skid plate.
