I am not sure that T and second pipe are doing much other than providing symmetry/aesthetics. i.e., adding a second pipe doesn't give the single pipe, on the other side of the T, any more airflow capacity.

Yeah I have a dual snorkel setup on my P5 with pantyhose prefilters over the tips so you can see the intake draw. One pipe is definitely dominate over the other but nothing wrong with opening up the airflow.

You can also come up by your passenger's right hip. Just a heads up. Be sure all fittings are glued really well. The more fittings, the more possibility for a leak.
