P1000 Whips and mounts (no, not those kind, TripleB)

Seems the most recent thread on whips/mounts were started back in 2021. Looking to add a couple on the back of the P1K5.

I saw them in person while having a completely horrible time @ TO '23 (@Robobrainiac and @Koolaid man (aka TOT23)), and decided I had to have some.

Any recommendations? Size/length? Springs? Mounts?

I like 5150’s also ones with the integrated turn signals if u have any.
The ones on my P1 are 3’ mounted on the back ROPS and I used the std ROPS mounts from amazon.

Well, before I drop a buck and a half (or more) per whip for top dollar lights and another $60 per mount for Axia Alloy mounts (I have their mount for my radio antenna), I'm gonna go all Amazon and grab these to see if I even like them. Prime delivery tomorrow.

Two 3ft whips RGB 5050 LEDs (5.0mm x 5.0mm) - 2nd Gen (brighter), apparently with 366 different modes (including chasing) and include a wireless remote OR control via Bluetooth from your phone. They also have the wiring to sync/support turn signals/brakes/reverse lighting.

$122 total.
$88 for two 3' whips (plus 6 flags)
$34 for a pair of mounts that should fit our P1K5 ROPS

I just picked the first ones that pooped up of that model sorry bout that.
There are other options of that same mount.

RB3 also makes a great whip clamp

Ahh, OK. Didn't know if you somehow mounted them differently/somewhere else.

A while back, I bought the Adjustable Angle 2 Way Radio Antenna Mount from Axia Alloys for my UHF/VHF radio antenna. ~$50 with shipping is a little pricey for one mount, but that thing is rock solid. Will definitely buy more of their products. They have whip mounts and a wide variety of other stuff.

Those won't fit the P1K5 ROPS.

That is what I did. I hand made some to be super cheap. Then replaced them with Amazon specials. My Amazon specials have worked since September 2021

Super ATV forward offset arms.
Unfortunately knowbody makes the guards. @knuckledeep made these guards for me. If u message him, im sure he will make u a set

You are correct.
@Papaandhistoys i had then on for a few years then took them off. If u run mud alot like I do, its a pita to get it out of there. If your just riding rocks or dusty stuff then yeah wont hurt to have them. Its all a preference in the grand scheme of things

I’d have to say that I like mine. Try to stay out of the mud as much as I can, but the added protection is a benefit for me. When I was cleaning last week I could see signs of their effectiveness and I know they protected my a-arms. To each his own but I’ll take a little harder clean up over banging a rock. Nomotho

I've only ever installed 1 whip in my 15 years of wrenching.

Pioneer 1000-5 with a 72 inch whip mounted to the back cage, had to bend the thing to get it out of our garage door.
