Difficulty tracking straight in snow

Ok, so I've been out on deep snowy trails a few times and I found it hard to drive straight in moderate to deep snow. The wheels seem to get caught in other ATV tracks which pushes the front side to side (especially since I'm wider and don't fit in their tracks). Under heavy throttle the back will slide and push the back side to side. I've been in the ditch a few times because of this and it makes driving overall difficult.

It also made me wish for tracks today (not good for the wallet!!!).

Anybody else experienced similar problems?

Mine tracks better in muddy ruts with it in 4Lock don't see much snow this far south, not sure if it is a equal comparison.

Mine does the same thing in 2 wheel drive,if you run in 4 wheel drive it's way better. I've tried it in 4 wheel lock but think I prefer to run in just 4 wheel drive.

I always run in 4wd lock, anything else makes me want to walk home.

No snow here. But in mud, I always find it best to make your own trail.
Sorry. No experience with snow.
