  1. Looking to buy
Already decided on a Pioneer for several different reasons.

The 700 is what I really want and is in my budget. But I've "heard" that the 700 has had more issues than the other Pioneer model lines. The 520 is intriguing but a bit small. The 1000 is out of my budget.

If my main objectives are reliability and a hassle free user experience, and realizing nothing is perfect (but I'm not looking to buy myself a headache), is there a reason to not go for the 700?

Thanks.

I can emphatically state our 700-4 has been a great machine.
The stock battery sucks ass and the headlight need help but with proper upkeep and common sense upgrades you will love it.
Our machine has performed flawlessly since 2019.
Best of luck and enjoy it when you get it.

Howdy from Oklahoma and welcome to the club. I have a Pioneer 500, but have driven a 700 and considered buying one because the ride and cabin comfort was better than the P5. I chose the P5 because the trails that I ride are very narrow, and the narrow width of the P5 was more suited to my use. Unless you need a compact machine, go for the 700.

Welcome from Mississippi. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the 700. I have a 2016 P1000 and use it daily on our little farm. Haul feed, hay, sprayer, yard stuff, pull a trailer. You’ll love it.

The 1000 is out of my budget.
Look for a slightly used one or any kind of used one in your budget. Since you mentioned the 1000 after getting the 700 you’ll do like most that have done what you were mentioning and end up getting a 1000 in the end. Might as well get it done and out-of-the-way now.

Welcome from Ohio. My 2014 700 has a little over 5000 mi with no problems other than a battery after 8 years. 2nd owner and it was used on a large cow farm for the 1st 4000+ miles. has been a great machine. good luck on your search.

The main reason not to get the 700 is if you are not a cool person. The 700 is for cool people. :):):):):) all kidding a side it is a great machine but if your lookin to drive down the road at 60mph its not for you. IMO it is a very underated machine and if not the it is one of the most reliable on the market.

'21 700-4D here. Been trouble free since new. Do trail riding, some blacktop, log pulling, hunting, day long cruises. At 800 miles + I'm looking to replace the stock tires. Tops out at 43mph, with two of us, or 4 riders. It's been a great machine. The only thing I miss is having a turf mode to eliminate rear wheel scuff on the yard, but that's no big deal not allot of riding around the yard here.
