So my P1000 has 1,200 miles on it. According to the book, its due for its second oil change. The thing of it is, the machine only has 51.4 hours on it total. The oil still looks really clean. It seems with so few hours, its wasteful to be changing the oil. I'm still probably going to do it, as I've been keeping with the maintenance schedule religiously while the machine is under warranty. What do you guys think?

I've always been one to change my oil and filter in every motor I have, right on schedule.

Does the manual have two choices for oil change intervals.
One by mileage
One buy the hours. You may be ok of you have not reached the recommended hours for the oil change

I stand corrected The manual does state both hours and miles but also says "what ever comes first".

I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'm at 58 hours and 850ish miles. You're running a pretty fast pace by comparison

Yea, I suppose I will just keep my oil changes as the book states. Lots of forest roads and abandoned railroad grades lead to a faster pace.
