P500 Dust Snorkel Mod.

Question. Have you noticed louder noise from running the filter inside the cab?

Has anyone done a dust snorkel mod to a P520 or any other dust reducing mods? I am looking to add something to mine if anyone has pics or videos. When I was riding in northern Idaho, a guy had one on his P500 because the trails out there are incredibly dusty, which is where I got the idea. If there is a thread that I missed somewhere, copy me a link please.

I am at work also but when I get home I'll post some pics of mine. I did something similar to what trigger was saying.

Here is what I did. I cut the intake off just behind the driver seat. With a polyvinyl flex coupling for pvc I connected 2" pvc and ran it out and up. With another coupling a little ways up to keep it tight to the side of the p5 , then back all the way across the other side where I cut a hole in my homemade headache rack. Ziptied a doubled up mesh screen and called it good. Very similar to Jcarts also. It has worked very well.

Inlet is at upper Rt. Rear corner on P520 Honda OEM ROOF. ( P500's & P700 upper Left corner of Roof.)
Air giong over roof & along side makes the upper Rear corners of the roof about the Cleanest Air your going to get on a S×S.
I take the Honda OEM air filter Out.
Definately less Air Filter maint. Clean1 time per year ( doesn't really need it )
Adds to mid- range pulling power <> especially if you Open Up the Exhaust too.

All with same results mentioned above.

Pic green P500 came with twin snorkle.

Mine is a 520. It comes out on the passenger side. There is no noise and also on my Talons, no noise.
