I got a great deal on a base model 1000-3, no power steering of course. I see EZ-Steer sells a kit that will fit. Has anyone installed one? I was wondering how hard it would be to install myself .

I'm in the same boat would like to hear feedback also. The kit has great reviews and looks easy to install.

I’m not sure in the 1000 but I did get the kit for 700 back when I had it, think it would be very close in the 1000, it wasn’t too bad. Took about hour and a half. Best to leave everything loose till it’s completely in. Big difference in drivability well worth the coin

Put one on my 500 the first week I had it pretty sure they are similar. Easy to install 3 wires Hot, Ground and Key on power.

Just wondering how hard the dash is to remove or if you can install it without pulling it

Its about a 2 to 3 beer installation. Leave everything loose until its all lined up. And get a head start the day before and remove your plastics. I swear....that's the worst part of the installation.

That’s the problem only 2-3 beers and the plastics. Figured the dash would be a total pain to get out
