My wife's side of the family expected to go out on the pontoon boat this morning. The only problem is that the boat wasn't running and I had been in a different state until 6pm last night. My awesome father stayed up with me until midnight and even missed dinner to help get the boat running for an outing that he would not be a part of.

He is an awesome father.

My father always provided everything I needed, this was way beyond food and shelter, he provided me with the knowledge that I could use to be a great father to my boys. Hopefully, I have passed this knowledge on and my boys will be great fathers.

My Father adopted me and my brother were 2 and 4. To me that says a lot he took us and my mother in and provided for us 100 percent. That's why I have a awesome dad.

I had a step dad and he was pretty cool. He worked his butt off for hardly any money just to keep a roof over our heads. We usually had food, well enough to survive anyways. I do remember going to bed a little hungry but it didn't kill me (obviously). To say the least we were poor. Very poor. But it wasn't for a lack of trying. He was always working. The thing I remember most about my childhood was running out of gas lol. He had a 396 4door impala that mustve been a gas hog. Seems everywhere we went we would run out lol. Seriously. But enough about him....i think I'm an awesome dad. Just ask my daughter lol
