P1000 Filter cover upgrade

Have seen a video about a filter cover upgrade for the 1000 but never quite understood what it was. Can someone give some info on this and what it does.

If your referring to the pre filter cover under the hood, it was Hondas answer to water entering the air I take from a hole in the front of the fender. The blocked that hole off and turned the inlet towards the rear of the unit.

You can buy the parts from any Honda dealer.

Nope they came on the 2018 and newer models.
