P1000 Underhood Air Filter

I have a 2023 pioneer, and the little pre-air filter thing absolutely refuses to stay clipped down. I heard there's a guy that just replaced it with a 3" cone air filter, but can't find the thread. Anyone? Random picture of hurricane cleanup attached.

Welcome from Mississippi. I installed a 3” Uni foam air filter on the lower radiator hose “under hood” snorkel modification. I can get you a pic if interested. Hope you didn’t have too much hurricane damage. Our last big hurricane was Katrina and we lost several trees and were without power 10 days.

Welcome from the once great state of Colorado.

UNI makes a 3" pod filter that might work for you - UP-6300ST. They also make it with a 15* tilt at the boot if that would help. This is on a Talon.

For the coupler, you can source a piece of tubing, but many empty spray cans (WD40 etc.) can be repurposed.
