i have not seen any issues with it when open. i would suggest you try to find someone with an installed one and be sure that you are happy looking thru the joint point. i ended up raising my seat1.5" to look over it easier ( i am 5'10") I like it better than non tip - You may try to find the one Scottymac built. It looks like he used the same method as the YXZ that opens a couple inches and also flips clear up on roof giving full open. Not as handy as the SuperATV but no issue looking thru it Just a thought
