Well at least Leah made it to the 3rd round, looks like Torrence is the man to beat. Tasca does it again, better than Force or Hight I guess. Looks like the Skillmans paired up in the finals. Funny how Bruno Massel can't stand Mopars but has yet to qualify his chevy.

Skillmans in the final! Drew in the new CJ beats his dad Bill in his 14MY 7.921 to 7.931! What a race! Super cool for me as a Ford fan!

Also great to see Tasca III winning Funny Car! Great that he had 2 in a row! They lined the cars up together after the race for some pics which was pretty cool!! Go Ford!!

I'm sure there is another correction coming to balance the performance. The Chevy's were close last race, but the Ford's seem to have taken a step forward since Topeka. The Mopars didn't seem to get it right for this race. They are fast. It just seems like they missed the set up or the tune for this round. Im sure they will be sorted before the next race. DSR has Tasca flying in Funny Car. They will get Leah sorted in Top Fuel and FSS.

Drew has a pretty decent lead, but knowing what Leah did last year at this point, I'm still pretty concerned that it can evaporate over the last few rounds!!

It's been an exciting year!!

Looks like a 32 car field in Factory Stock Showdown for Indy.

The 32 car field idea had been floated around a bit. There’s a factory stock podcast and they discussed it a couple times. I think it’s cool. I doubt 32 cars will show though.

The Parity changes feel like a bit much. I could see the smaller pulley for the Mopars, but a change to both the Ford and Dodge seems like too much. I want it to be fair and close and a drivers race. Last year they did basically nothing and let the racers do their best. This year, it feels like a lot of changes trying to slow down the CJs. I’m probably biased, but it seems like they are going to far.

I noticed that NMCA has selected a different set of rules. They gave the COPOs a minor pulley change, gave the Mopars the 3.0 pulley and the weight change, but left the Fords at the 3.75” pulley. I’d like to think they got it right. They have the next race. It will be interesting to see how close they are.

I guess we will see in a few weeks!!

Congrats to the Capco boys as Steve Torrence is dominating Top Fuel. Tommy Johnson wins Funny Car and thankfully no Force cars in the finals.Andrew Hines debuts new Harley look and wins Pro Stock bike. My cousin went out in round two of Stock Eliminator after qualifying 4th.

After 2 rounds of qualifying in FSS, it looks like the NHRA finally put Ford back where they want them - Behind Dodge and Chevy. Looks like Pawuk has the field covered. He’s got 0.057 on the best Chevy so far. That’s a pretty big difference in these highly competitive classes.

Well she is coming back in 2020. Looks like Daddy's money/Petron Tequila/ won't be a major sponsor.

Looks like Dodge is lined up for a good year in FSS for 2020. They have a new combo with basically the same 3.0L Whipple supercharger that was on the Ford's last year. And while the Ford program started the year on a 3.5" pulley, but dropped back all the way to a 4" pulley thru BOP adjustments, the new Dodge starts the season with the same 3.5" pulley that Ford was pretty dominant with at the start of 2019. I find it surprising that the NHRA thinks that the Dodge needs a 3.5" pulley to compete with the Ford program on a 4.0". In 2018, they cars had roughly the same 2.9L Whipple, and were very competitive, although the Dodge's won more races. So if the Dodge adapts an equal supercharger again, it seems like they should be able to crush it the competition with the 3.5" pulley.

So that bodes well for the Dodge program. And they really only have the 2 DSR car's. Thats a good thing for Dodge as they should be able to effectively control the 2 cars and not show all their cards like the multiple independent Ford racers did last year. They all showed what they had right from the start. The DSR cars ought to be able to show just enough to win without getting hit with BOP adjustments like the Ford's had.

We will see..........

Agreed.

It’s not something you can really grasp until you’ve witnessed it.

I had the opportunity to stand on the top of the tower at the 4 wide deal in Carolina a few years back. The sounds, the pressure, and the smell of the nitro fuel just needs to be experienced! Everyone should do it once!

Looks like daddy owns part of ABK beer and Rokit phones.
Yep. Part owner of both.
As part of the ROK Group of Companies, ROKiT has been founded by business innovator John-Paul DeJoria (John Paul Mitchell Systems, Patron Tequila, John Paul Pet) and Jonathan Kendrick (British entrepreneur).
ROK Stars PLC, the consumer products and environmental technologies development company founded by John Paul DeJoria and Jonathan Kendrick, has announced its ABK Beers have been awarded 2 Gold Medals at the prestigious International BeerChallenge blind tasting competition held recently in London.
