Hello,
i have a 2017 honda pioneer 500 that need a new frame and my question is, Would the frame from a 2015 be the same as a 2017? Honda shows a different part number but in photos they appear the same. the front half of the frame is what i need to replace and i have found the parts needed locally but would like to verify fitment before purchasing. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

VIN is on the rear frame, not that it matters.

the difference is the side bars....shoulder bars....if that's what they're called. the 2017 & up saw a change to the shape/height, otherwise the frame will be the same.

Honda made them bigger to help keep the inebriated H.F.A.W.H.A. Members from falling out and hurting themselves. ;)

The main frame doesn't include the side bars with the shoulder braces. Those are separate pieces. If your just replacing the main frame then you can probably resuse the cage and side bars off the 2015.

What's the story with the old Inviter in the background, I had one back in the day, kind of a funky snowmobile.....300cc single if I remember correctly.

Those shoulder bars look like the larger ones off the 2017 and up models? Maybe its the angle?
