I put 29 inch tires on 14 inch wheels on my stock '21 1000-5... when I go through the smallest dips, it rubs on the fender wells. I don't want to tear up the tires or the plastic so I'm looking for the cheapest fix to prevent further problems... any suggestions?

What @TripleB said, or...... I'm not sure who has them for sale but there is a new cut out mod that someone is selling to allow for bigger tires. Although I'm not sure up to what size.
You have to cut out part of just under the foot rest and install then"supplied cover"/mod.

Try to do a quick search up top

Good luck 👍

Cheapest easiest fix would be the 3” lift (spring spacers) but I’ve heard they make the ride a little stiffer. Google floorboard mod for pioneer 1000-5 , I didn’t like the idea of cutting my floor up but it would work wasn’t expensive. After that your talking a arms. More cash. I’d try the lift and see if you like it. It’s removable if you hate the ride. Good luck

Yup! That's it, I saw a member a while back use it and I asked about it. They said it was working well, built out of metal. Not sure how the application/fasteners would hold up to a hit from a stick but hey.............can't be any worse then the plain factory plastics 🙄

OUTLAW to 37931

That should get you a coupon from High Lifter for 15% off. You can order arched arms from them to move the axle forward. I have the front and rear on my machine and I love them.

I'm not sure that cutout would fix the problem... however, the work and price involved are better than the a arm offset. If I do the offset on the front, do I have to do the back?

You do not have to do the rear. High lifter rear only arches the lower arms for clearance they do not move the axle any. You should not have to move the rear at all for up to 30" tires. SuperATV makes a rear set that will move and arch the arms if you wanted to but it's not needed.

Post #30 is where I did my control arms. The instructions were pretty clear for me. I had a lift that aided me however they could easily be done on a jack.

So you wouldn't recommend the cutout?
This is the first time I have ever seen the cutout. It's a neat idea but for me I love putting my left foot on the wheel hump. I would be uncomfortable if it were made taller from the cutouts. I really like the arch in the control arms. I have gotten hung in mud on the factory arms. They also let you put larger tires. There is no modification needed to the machine to make it work either. Just nuts and bolts.

I'm looking to put the same tires on my 1000-5 that is on order. I am planning on doing thr superatv arm to fit everything. Can you give everything a height with the honda roof on? I have limited garage door clearance but really like the things that I've heard about that roof.

I actually rub the door in my garage because it hangs about an inch lower than the jam. It only rubs ever so slightly on the highest point of the roof... my garage is a one car, nothing special.
