I feel the same about the front rack. Visibility is paramount. It's hard enough to access the area under the hood with a full windshield as it is, can't imagine having to remove the rack too.

I would not even bother to load front and obscure the view, just use front uderhood space to hide gear and you have enough space on the back rack. Unless you are in desperate need to carry as much as possible and overload your P500 like these people do. If you ever traveled in China or India, they are masters in overloading and hauling stuff.

I have tip out windshield. ..I installed it so I can get my hood off...easily
