Trying to help a friend out with a problem with his 700. It had been running fine, until they tried to start it a few days ago. He had left it under a shed at the hunting camp. It would turn over but not even come close to starting. We thought it was a fuel problem since the fuel gauge was steady flashing "E-----------F". After getting the panels removed from around the tank and attempting to get it out, we noticed rats had chewed the wires on the fuel pump 4P connector right up against it. We could not figure out HOW to remove the connector from the tank so as to attempt a repair. We ended up breaking the top off of it, but the bottom part is still attached to the take. HTH are you suppose to get it released and off without destroying it?
