I bought this gps for my trip to hm trails next week and have all the maps downloaded onto it and I officially have as much into this gsp as i would into custom suspension BUT this is the first gps ive ever owned and i never go half assed i bought all the topos city nav birdseye and all the ram mounts for the p5 the 420 the crf and truck so i cant really complain so far just playing around this gps is amazing its pin point with in a few feet and its crazy fast!!!! the resolution isnt what u get from NEW android phones but with birds eye and zoomed it all i can say is wow ( besides the 8yr old satellite pics) but looks great im totally impressed. But like i said this is my first gps and wanted to share my tnouht so far

I missed this post @jak9922 That GPS should serve you well, I use the similar mount on my Garmin Montana 650T, went with it because it came will all topos already and was waterproof. If Garmin makes and AMPS mount for that one it has a locking device that keeps light finger from easily grabbing it out of the holder and RAM mounts bolt right to it. I use the RAM mount in both the P500 & P1K and swaps back and forth in under a minute just leaves the main ball mounted to the dash is the only duplicate part.

it uses the same mount as the Montana its an amazing base and locks it in crazy tight

Well 3 full days of getting sand blasted caked in mud and drowned in water following trails then but back in the truck for directions home this gps is a 1000% winner totally worth ever cent spent

NO!!!!!! few spots the leader (at the time )made wrong turns on our way to get gas and headed off total opposite direction with out it 7 out of 10 would have ran out of gas and on other times its easier then using paper maps ploting out your courses for the day
