Look at my videos.. Do they look grainy or poor? 1080 is plenty. Like having a SxS that will 60 and another that will 66... not a lot of difference for the money.

Man I have a go pro and I wish I had a virb instead I get so tired of changing batteries I never use the damn thing.

I'm with you, I bought the XE because I didn't NEED 4K it'd have been nice if it were delivered along with the rest of the XEs capabilities and benefits. You need a 50" screen or better to see the benefits of 4K, and I don't see too many people watching my dive videos or Pioneer videos on their TV, I am just not that interesting and I am not going to subject anyone to a old fashioned vacation slideshow.

Now for Security Surveillance footage, 4K is awesome because you can digitally zoom in to the image after the fact. Thats a whole other conversation though, I would love to have 4K cameras instead of the 3-5MP cameras I have.

Nope, def better and cheaper to use IP network cameras for security, Samsung has some very reliable ones for a pretty good price. They can get pricy if you go to 4K res though.

I am tempted to waste $30 on the heart rate monitor for the virb. Just to see how much my heart rate increases when i get to a high pucker factor obstacle.

I did ... then I talked to a good friend in their HQ who will retire a very happy man (7 years younger than me ...bastard) once the Bass Pro acquisition closes.

He checked the IT logs and there were two of us trying to buy one remaining at the same time. According to him, my submit click was less than a half a second late <face palm>

He'll probably do something for me, unasked ... I am OK. So I spent $10 more on one with the same warranty ... big deal.
