I really like my 1000-5 and had fun in the mud and trails. I was just wanting something more sporty and not knowing if Honda will ever have a sports model. I went and bought a 2018 X3 X. 172 HP Turbo and I must say it hauls butt. I will still check in from time to time and see what everyone's up to. Thanks for a great forum and people.

Just because you chose to acquire a different brand, does not mean you are not welcome here.
Stick around, start a build thread for your new machine. I like seeing other peoples mistakes. (If you can handle a little ribbing, stay with us,)

Great machine for what it's built for. I wasn't impressed with the one I saw at the takeover. Maybe was the driver... not sure sight is limited which may be something to get used too. Either way they are fast for sure! Congrats on the ride and interested in how it turns out.

I doubt the Sport Hondas will have 100 hp and Can-Am did a good job. Now that Boatman bought the Maverick Honda will probably announce a sport model next week. If the 2019 Yamaha YXZ to be announced next month has enough improvements I will buy it if a Sport Honda is not available. My 2016 YXZ is getting close to 15,000 miles.

Not sure how everyone else feels here but getting any other brand sxs shouldn’t be the dark side. The dark side to me would be lacing up your hiking boots, grabbing your bag of granola, and going down to the capital to lobby to the government that we destroy Mother Nature and our areas should be shut down. Nice rig by the way.

If I were buying a sport for where and what I ride... the YXZ would be it!

I've been "told" to expect 100 to 110HP.

Be in dealers in January.

Guys just trust me, it may not be the fastest but what's coming will, if my source who's seen and touched the "Talon" isn't bulls***ting me, blow peoples minds.

It's not the dark side but a side that needs to stay in touch with Honda guys, guys that will haul you out when the belt breaks.

Just kidding...sort of, good luck with the new machine, I too looked at them and thought about buying one :)

I hope to god it’s not just full of automotive based electronics and untested technical bulls***. Sometimes simple works and keeps working. We just about bought the 19 Yxz but will wait a year and see how they actually compare. Dont need the possible 200hp of the Yami but want a solid machine that performs and doesn’t have a ton of service bulletins. Hopefully the Talon has more the 100 though, that would only be 70 to the tires.
