just purchased a 1k5 and I started to add some goodies to it. just need to see what the best performance upgrades are..... i value your experienced opinions. i live in south florida, so water is a big issue.... in fact the places i got are mostly water....lol... in the summer. so i need to bulletproof this thing and keep it high and dry.

Welcome to the forum.

If you don't plan on it already, make sure you vent these items higher:
1: air intake
2: front diff
3: rear diff
4: gas tank
5: transfer case
6: radiator fan motor
7: rear diff cable adjustment box.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Oh yeah, it's probably a good idea to get some dielectric grease and put it on the seal of every electrical connector you can find and get your hands on.

Also, while you're doing that, tighten up any ground wires you find. I'll post a link to help you find those ground wires if I can find it.

The connectors are water proof as long as the seal is in good condition and the connectors are fully connected or clicked in.

The grease is for the o-rings seals on the connectors. It's di-electric just incase some gets on the conductors, it won't carry electricity and cause a short.

Welcome! Love your ride. What everyone else said about snorkeling and venting, and just my .02 that rear light bar is gonna die. Looks badass though!
