I haven’t hurt anyone. Didn’t need a lesson. I try to fix things before there’s a problem. I definitely didn’t need a bunch of s*** for something I was in the process of fixing. Truck didn’t go again without it being throughly fixed. Stupid comments weren’t needed to keep people safe. Again no one hurt

The point that nothing bad happens until it does it what I’m referring to. Crap is going to happen eventually. The things we all do are inherently dangerous. Taking steps to mitigate it wherever possible are very smart...

We’ve talked about that. You can’t tell me it’s not safer in the bed of a pickup then a flat bed. I hate flatbeds they are ugly as f*** and for me would do nothing better. Plus you can’t put anything ever in back without that s*** all over the highway. Safety first I want the high sides to protect others on the road, after Dave’s comments I sure wouldn’t want to be unsafe by carrying on a flatbed or open trailer, if the straps did come loose someone would die. Safety first:)

lol you're sure getting wound up over this! @JTW started it like usual. If you don't want someone to give you shyt about something stupid you did then don't post it online. Im not saying you're a bad driver and will get someone killed. You're completely missing the point.

The point you have missed over and over in this discussion is that no matter how careful you are shyt still happens. That's all. You're blowing this whole thing up and getting pissy. lol You can be a perfect driver and still be in a wreck. While I was on my way to takeover last year I got a call that my wife was hit in the driver door by an idiot that didn't look before pulling onto a highway. She wasn't even a mile from home.

Yea you can take all precautions and stuff still happens. You can strap it down with 18 straps and s*** can still happen. BUT I sure wouldn't head into the mountains with no straps on my rig and say a couple chunks of wood and a railroad tie were plenty good enough. If i did that I would just admit it was a bad idea and move on. Not spend all my time trying to justify it.

Yea CP i've done stupid stuff too. A few times I've hauled a atv in the back of my truck with nothing but the parking break set. I've done stupid things a few times and gotten away with it. Again, we can get away with stuff for a long time until one day we don't. Then we wish we wouldn't have taken the chance.

Let me give you another good one you can make fun of me for. I had a golf cart and a Kawasaki brute force strapped to a tandem axle flat bed trailer. Neither were mine lol. I had 4 straps on each one and the Brute Force was in the back. I'm going 55 down the highway and look in my mirror to see that four wheeler roll off the back of the trailer, coast down the road a bit staying on my side of the road then it eases off the road into a nice big lawn in front of someones house and coasts to a stop. Didn't hurt a single thing. It was like Jesus himself was sitting on it. I did the right thing using 4 straps and STILL could've killed someone.

s*** happens. We just gotta do the best we can. Carry on

I’m not blowing this out of proportion. It pissed me off that you acted like I was going to kill someone. Absolutely 100% truthfully I knew what was in the back of my truck and drive accordingly. I was MUCH safer with that load then most people with thier load. For one it wasn’t falling out without an accident period!! In an accident I think I might rather have that Sxs Loaded like I did then on one a trailer strapped so stop saying I was being stupid. That statement pisses me off because I didn’t see it that way, we were around no one else and slow speeds anyways.
Anything can be dangerous. I’d much rather be around someone paying attention to there load then thinking it’s good and driving wrecklessly.
Hey you just mentioned that you had a strap issue and almost hurt someone and so did someone else. Guess what? My rig wasn’t relying on straps but didn’t almost fall out and kill someone. But it wasn’t like I had that f***er sitting on a flatbed trailer unstrapped. I assure you I was being as safe as possible. It’s now been fixed and is safe and if every strap breaks it’ll remain in the back of my truck safe and sound. I wasn’t giving you hell about putting on lipstick in heavy traffic so move on.
