Beautiful machine you got there. Like @sharp says accessories don’t add much. Around my area you might get $10-11.5K for it as a private sale. Dealer might give you $7-9K on a trade. Also depends how eager you are to dump it and scratch that itch you got. ;)
I don’t know that I’m itching that bad lol.

Exactly. I still have points in that front distributor lol. When that goes out I’ll go to electronic. My buddy ownes Skips Repair in Hamburg Mi that’s all they do is old Ford Tractors, Parts, maintenance, repair and rebuilds. He’s told me the same thing, as soon as those points give me trouble Change them out to electronic. Chit...that’s ben a lot of years since I put those new points in and sill going strong lol. Although I have changed the hydraulic with one from a Jubalee
But then it won’t be EMP proof!

It’s worth it!
I’m sure it is but I hate to just throw away $4300, those accessories aren’t a year old yet. I get it, that’s my loss but not sure I’m willing to bite the bullet yet. With a full cabin renovation, wanting to build a shed and working on the adoption process, 4K is too much to throw away. If not for that I’d go get it today.

I'm contemplating it myself. If the 500 has truly started to use oil as it seems, then it will almost certainly end up being traded. If you're a ugly chick, then you better be able to cook and f*** well. If you're a rough riding, cramped sxs, then you better be durable to a fault.

The dealer where I bought my 700 is blowing 700-4 seaters out for under $10,000. The local RideNow has a couple of 1000-5's in the $12 range. Honestly, I'll probably look into the 1000, but I just don't want that payment. Probably end up with another 700.

I can’t complain about my 700-4, it’s a great machine. It went everywhere I wanted to go at RRB and never failed to get me back to camp. I like the thought of the 1000-5 but I can’t even consider $10,500 for mine the way it sits. I’d probably let it go for $12,500 set up like it is, not sure I’d go much lower. Good luck with the 500, mine was a tank!
