Ok I’ll give you the race car EcoBoost might have more torque but if you keep the truck10 to 15 years the maintenance will cost you an arm and a leg between the cost of the turbo replacement and the timing chain problems.

I don’t care either way, I say whatever floats your boat.

Maybe... but trading them before 100k solves that issue and keeps the trade value up. They cost too much to keep them for the miles I put on them.

We’re gonna have to work on that JB! :D

I don’t mind being a cheap date at all. My favorite drink is actually straight tequila. A bottle lasts me a long time. I don’t drink often though and when I do it is only one or two with rare exception. Guess that is why is I can only be an outsider in this thread. Hahaha.

We’ve had one 5.0 and it was an awesome engine. No issues what so ever. I love the sound it makes.

I’ve heard the stories about timing chains but there are stories for every engine out there. But I do have experience with 4 EB engines in the family and one is a 2011. We have a 4 vehicle fleet at work. All tow and work hard. Never once a timing chain issue now at 8 years and over one million miles out of the 8 vehicles. The 2011 had a catalytic converter fail. Two have been totaled in a wreck. If we experienced any reason to quit buying them, we would definitely stop.
