How many miles? You don't see bad bearings all that often on hondas.Cheers fellows! Here's what $500+ worth of parts and an extended ride in the snow get you when your bearings go out. I just finished doing some wrenching tonight. Thanks to @Roofrack and Daniel for their help. The Pioneer is ready for a ride this weekend! View attachment 258591

The sad part of it is that these are the second set of bearings. My first set lasted 7000 miles. I just installed these bearings about 2000 miles ago. I have no idea what caused these to go out much faster than the original ones. The other side was going out too. I replaced them tonight as well. Crossing my fingers that these last longer. How many miles? You don't see bad bearing all that often on hondas.
Loose nut behind the wheel?Th

That’s why I stop so often to grab another, then it can’t be too far backMines tied to a string thats tied to the plug wires to kill the motor if it falls out!
Did you torque the nut or ugga dugga it? Too much torque puts side load on them...at least that's what the instructions I read afterwards say...Th

Yep, two of them!Loose nut behind the wheel?
My torque wrench only goes up to 80 ft. Lbs so I had to use the gorilla method. And with a 3 foot breaker bar I'm sure I had a lot of ft. Lbs on it. That's why I'm going to borrow a friend's torque wrench tomorrow. But I thought I didn't have enough torque, maybe this side load thing was the problem? Thanks DG.Did you torque the nut or ugga dugga it? Too much torque puts side load on them...at least that's what the instructions I read afterwards say...

Its supposed to help a lot to grease the new bearings right away. I did. And still feels great after 1000 miles.Th
