I was hoping for a smaller version of the KRX. Or maybe a "cross over" a-la the new Commander. The big bastard certainly has the room for a dump bed.
They’ll make an even larger one and people that buy that will tell the people that didn’t they are stupid for not buying it because it’s faster, more stable and even less driver input needed.I was hoping for a smaller version of the KRX. I guess I still remember the time when an ATV and then SxS was an alternative to a full sized 4x4 so you could get into places easier. The jeeps got bigger and now the SxS's are the size the jeeps used to be...if not as big. Where does it end? They’ll make an even larger one and people that buy that will tell the people that didn’t they are stupid for not buying it because it’s faster, more stable and even less driver input needed.

Went a did an off road race this weekend, built a 93 civic for the wife to race, she let her dad drive it because it was his birthday and had lots of experience running the Baja 500 back in the 80s. He took that poor civic around the course and took 5th out of 26 other Jeep’s, 4x4s and other hooptie cars
I placed 5th also in the talon as I front flipped through the finish line

I recall feeling the same way coming from 4 wheelers.. hence part of why I originally bought a p500. The thing is.. it’s not as big a deal as we make it. With the exception of those that are limited by width restricted trails.I was hoping for a smaller version of the KRX. Or maybe a "cross over" a-la the new Commander. I agree that people are overly pessimistic about what will fit...I recall feeling the same way coming from 4 wheelers.. hence part of why I originally bought a p500. The thing is.. it’s not as big a deal as we make it. With the exception of those that are limited by width restricted trails.
Yup... They’re not the Honda’s of days of old. People have this brand loyalty when in fact the brand doesn’t give a s*** about you. I don’t care what it is, as long as it does what I ask and doesn’t cost me a fortune to keep riding.Anybody ever adjusted the steering rack on one of these?
My left hand side has what I'd consider too much vertical play, and pulling the boot reveals it is the rack itself. The other end has a touch but no biggie in my experience. Looks like the adjustment procedure might take some of that out.
My 1st 700 was an anvil. It had a touch, like the right side does now...but nothing like what I'm getting on the left. That was almost 9000 miles. I've been wondering if this machine (which appeared from the start to be noticeably worse in build quality) would last as well. I just rolled over 2000 miles, and while it's been used, it hasn't been abused. And quite frankly, I'm a little surprised to see this.
You buy Honda's for durability/relighability...esp the 700, so if I'm not getting that, what's the point?
