Some of us like the tried and true Toyota (Hino) engines as well
The BJ73 I sold to get my BJ74 had a Toyota 3B Engine (non turbo - read I really did need a calendar to measure 0-60 MPH and 0-70 was right out, unless I was driving off a cliff). Truck had 475,000 km on it when I sold it. Engine had never been opened until I pulled the oil pan to check big end bearings (they still carried factory assembly marks and vee virtually new). When I sold it, compression tested within 5 PSI of new spec and consumed about a half a quart of oil every 5k miles .... not bad for a 3.4l 4 cylinder
