I made one out of 2" pvc and used a 3" to 2" fernco to attach before i went to my airbox snorkle.

This is basically what I did. Just avoids the splash concern. Cheap and functional

I may not but for 120 more better safe than sorry for some reson with Pioneer build I've tried to do everything right the first time . Research, solder all wire connection ect.ect
