Maybe I am over thinking this but can the 30 pin on the relay be powered by a secondary battery other than the main headlight battery? Any reason not to wire it this way? Just trying to spread some of the load between the two batteries…

I believe so, 85 and 86 control the coil and 30 and 87 are the switched circuit you want to control. They can be on different batteries as far as I know. This is a generic relay drawing from the internet, not labeled by me.

If your trying to "save your cluthes". Try not lugging it around.
If the wheels aren't spinning your clutch is a slipping.

But to answer your question.
I'm sure you could.

The top half of this one shows the internals - two completely separate circuits.

Okay, that is what I was thinking…Thank you both for the reply! Going to wire it that way, secondary battery powering the lightbar, highbeam trigger just operating relay.

Should just dig into the wire harness and reroute both to the second battery.

I'd have to look. But cutting the wire before the fuse might just do this.

I'm looking at a 2019 diagram. I can check a 2020 tomorrow.
I don't even seen a headlight relay..

Anyways. If you have a 2019.
Cutting the yellow wire at the 10A light fuse and rerouting it to your own fuse box will work.

This would put High, Low, and Tail lights on the second battery.

Let's backup.

Are you trying to use the high beam trigger to run a relay for a large light bar?

Or are you trying to re-route high beam power to the second fuse box?

U can trigger a relay from your high beam power to turn on a light bar.
Then.
High beam trigger kit.
Red to 86
Black to 85
87 and 30 is pass through HOT from the second battery to or your 60" light bar.

Now your light bar is on the second battery.

I bought and installed the high beam trigger wire from the club store to power a small 7" LED light bar. At what point do I need to install a relay?
