P1000 Homemade snorkel

I just bought a 1000-5 deluxe and I would line to snorkel it as an insurance policy but for what it takes I can see paying high lifter $200 for the kit, anyone got pics of their homemade to give me idea on how to runs it so it doesn’t look too bad?

Here's what I have.

I routed mine through the passenger side cup holder hole. All 2" SCH40 PVC.

5 x 45 degree elbows
3 x 90 degree elbows
1 x silicone adapter
2 x hose clamps
and a 10' piece of 2" PVC should do it.

Does the sock cover restrict air flow. I stuffed the snorkel with the hard course that the intake. does good until I open her up. then it bogs the motor down

I made one that came out behind the seat but you have to take the center seat belt retractor out it is in this section under yet another snorkel I think hope this helps

There's no difference with or without the Uni prefilter. It does keep the stock filter a lot cleaner

The tabs will go on the back side of the harness bar. I could just weld them to the harness bar but then I can't change it later as easily. Until I get the bar I won't know for sure Bed won’t dump then

Quick, easy and cheap! Figured the middle is the best location for a snorkel since you usually End up sideways is a Deep mud hole.

this is my setup, 1: 2 3/4” to 3” silicone adapter 1: 3” piece of pipe from a cold air intake and 1: 90 deg snorkel top.

How much louder is that being right behing the seat?
