Well I have just over 1,000 miles on Polaris. Thing has eaten 4 belts so far. And it is a bi$%h to change them. And in the boonies you just slap a new belt in and hope it last to get you home so you can pull the clutch's and get the blown belt parts out. I've been lucky and been on the road during every blowout. If in water or mud or snow it would really be a pain to change. Then you need a new dust gasket every time it blows, so yup it just blows to change belts. And I'm not hard on my machine at all and do the break in which is also a pain in the rear.

A friend of mine has a can am maverick. Blew a belt way back in trails. Had to walk to get phone service. Called his sister to get a new belt. She drove her car back to where he was broke down and helped put the belt on at night using headlights 🤣. Wasn't a year old. Ofcourse we harassed him at work cause the "trails" were so rough she drove her car back to save him 🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

New Wrangler Sport, bottom of the barrel with the pentastar V6 and manual transmission.
This is a drive it to death daily commuter, 100 miles a day, 30k miles a year just going to work and back.

Going to get soft doors, when the weather is nice I'll drop the top and pull the sides off.
About as close as I can get to commuting in a SxS.
And it has air-conditioning.

The Oracle has spoken!

Ya gotta know, when the guy, overseeing the guy, that supervised the guy, designing the Honda Off-road HVAC, gives up and gets a Jeep, that it's a foreshadowing of the consumer disappointment to come 🫴

Congratulations on the new ride. Surprised you didn't get a "real truck" like a Ridgeline 🤣

Just shows the if ya know, ya know quotient being factored in.

Proper number of doors, too.👍

I'll be honest...anything Stellantis scares me these days. A tough thing for a former Mopar guy to admit. By getting the v6/manual I think you've done the right thing. The "2nd gen" pentastars don't seem to have as much valve train issues as older ones. The 8 speed auto seems pretty good, but I can't see the logic behind the 4k+ upcharge it takes to get one. This is a company that really needs to re evaluate the pricing structure it has...
