Honda Racing Aluminum Roof

What’s the purpose of switching to the aluminum roof? When I took delivery of my Talon, the factory plastic roof was damaged. The dealer will either replace it or offered me the Honda Racing aluminum roof. Not sure which way to go.

I would say aluminum tougher and way cooler

If it's free, take it. If they want you to pay the difference I'd say pass.

The only benefit to me is when I mount my dual band antenna it will provide a good ground plain
